Our Story
Dr. Westbury is a Ventura County native. He was born in Port Hueneme, grew up in Camarillo and is a graduate of Camarillo High School. He attended Arkansas Tech University, where he received his bachelors degree in biology. He then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry where he received his doctorate of dental surgery degree.
Dr. Westbury has been involved in dentistry since he was 19 years old. During his first year in college, he visited the local oral surgeon's office to have his wisdom teeth removed. Upon learning that he was going to pursue a career in dentistry, the surgeon offered him a job on the spot. For four years during college, he was an oral surgery assistant.
While in dental school, Dr. Westbury worked for Myron's dental laboratory. At the time, Myron's was one of the largest dental laboratories in the world.
After graduation from dental school, Dr. Westbury practiced in South San Francisco for 12 years. During this time he also taught at the University of Pacific School of Dentistry as a clinical professor.
Missing home, he moved back to Ventura County in 2001, where he has practiced ever since.
