Dr. Westbury was born and raised in Ventura County. A Camarillo High School graduate, he received his bachelor's degree from Arkansas Tech University. He then attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he earned his doctorate degree in dental surgery. He has been involved in dentistry since 1982, first as an oral surgery assistant then transitioning into dental school and finally private practice. Dr Westbury was involved academically with The University of Kansas Pedodontic clinic, The University of Missouri Mental Health Center, and The Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary Clinic.

Dr. Westbury initially established a large, successful dental practice in South San Francisco. During this time, he also worked as a clinical instructor at the University of Pacific School of Dentistry teaching dental students restorative dentistry. While in Northern California, he served on the Board of Directors for the San Mateo County Dental Society and was voted "Bay Area's Best Dentist" by the readers of the San Mateo Times. Dr. Westbury returned home to Ventura County in 2001 to raise a thriving family. He is currently practicing in Oak View, CA.

As dental technology progressed, Dr Westbury has championed some of the most advanced techniques, including CAD/CAM designed full arch implants. At his sophisticated dental lab he personally fabricates many of his crowns, bridges, implant teeth and full arch implant prostheses. This has allowed him direct quality control. His contributions to complex prosthodontics were recognized with a feature article in Dental Towns January 2022 publication. His significant experience, skill and attentiveness allows Dr Westbury to provide superior care to Ventura County.
